Our variety of innovative product handling solutions includes our versatile MiniLink product line, which uses a single plastic chain link. The link, which is 30mm or 60mm wide, runs on a welded stainless steel I-Beam.

As with all SpanTech conveyor products, MiniLink has no cumbersome catenary which must be re-fed back on track. The chain simply compresses as it leaves the drive sprocket, and is pulled back out to its normal 25mm pitch by the tension in the return chain.

Applications

The MiniLink line is ideal for many different applications. SpanTech has designed systems for small, pre-cooked finger foods, cracker and cookie products, and moving divert rails. The compact cross-section of MiniLink allows it to be integrated into processing and packaging equipment where no other conveyor will fit.

Versatility

Since the MiniLink rail may be shaped to create vertical or horizontal curves, inclines and horizontal directional changes are both possible within a single conveyor. Product spreaders using older technology, such as multiple round neoprene belts with complex guide systems and pulleys, may be replaced with a single strand of MiniLink chain per lane of product. Conversely, MiniLink® is also ideal for converging product to smaller lane centers for loading packaging equipment or ovens more efficiently.

Multiple lanes of MiniLink can be used to perform a merge function. Several lanes of product may be merged into single lane without using any transfer devices. By overlapping the ends of multiple MiniLink strands, the product will flow smoothly from one conveyor to the next.
